Well, the census worker came to my house and accused me of not returning my form. I hotly exclaimed that I had returned it on April 1.

We just had the exact same thing happen to us last week. The girl showed up just as we were leaving the house. She introduced herself as she walked up and told us that she had to ask us a few questions. I told her we had sent it in early April. She then tells me that it must have gotten lost in the mail and that it would just take about ten minutes. I told her that we already did our part and we had to leave as we were already late.

So she follows us to our car while pointedly informing us that we are required by Federal law to comply. I again pointed out that we already complied when we delivered it to the US Post office. She told us that she would be back. It really bothers me though that they ask all of these race questions and such but not even one line asking citizenship.

Exactly. I told the census worker that too. I told him I should have answered HUMAN to the race questions. I told him that my husband wasn’t any way hispanic, unless he counted Italian. At that point my husband showed up, so the census man could actually see him. Then I couldn’t get going because my husband talked his ear off for the next 45 min.
