If I were running the show I would have my choice of whom I wanted on the ballot at the top spot get busy and announce, in advance, the people who would be on his or her team. Don't have to name specific people for specific posts, although I would make Ollie North Sec. of Defense as a starter. I would name 10 or more people and promise they would have key posts in my administration. People like John Bolton. Then I would campaign as a team making a point of stressing that “what you see is what you get.” No more pigs in a poke.
Perhaps the way to go at it is the other way around though. Gather the 15 to 20 people you feel most qualified to lead the Free World and then have them tell you who they want at the top of the ticket.
We've got to come up with something new and exciting or the fraud that is the Obama team will slip him right back in there.
