Pretty much. It might really piss off the gator otherwise. Seriously, down here around the town of Anahuac, east of Houston, they have a gatorfest in the fall. Can try lots of gator cooked different ways.

I believe you... I’ve never prepared alligator, but I’ve eaten it at restaurants (like Pappadeux).
So far it hasn’t shown up at the H-E-B meat counter though.
