Sad, just truly sad. When I went to school (segregated until 6th grade), we were taught to be proud of who we were by our BLACK teachers. We were taught that we were never victims no matter what bigotry was thrown at us. Who's teaching this crap now? I'll answer, white liberals, who have internalized their bigotry into a meme that black children can never rise above their "station" in life. Ever. They want to pity them and coddle them, but never educate them.

What I was thinking more of was Sharpton and Jackson.
I agree that white liberals are teaching this crap, but it’s also black victimizers like Sharpton and Jackson and others who work tirelessly to keep the black/white divide in place. They don’t teach that anyone should be ashamed of their color, but they do inspire a chip on the shoulder kind of militant attitude and a separatism that keeps race at the forefront of their efforts. Then we have La Raza, which literally means “the race”, doing the same thing to Hispanics. Apparently it’s only racism if the racists are white.
