I recall manning the FR booth at the Republican State Convention in Houston at the Geo. Brown Convention Cntr. when Quanell showed up outside with his goon squad wearing camo and all carrying AK 47’s.
LEOs had to lock down the entire Convention Center. I eased near a sheriff and as we looked outside at the “show” he told me what he thought of that little punk.
A member of the punk’s goon squad got into a little “verbal exchange” with an elderly vet outside, and one of the punks actually knocked the vet to the ground. The vet never filed any charges, and that infuriated us all.
All I can say is “IT’S A GOOD THING HE DIDN’T LAY HANDS ON ME OR ANY OF THE OTHER FREEPERS ON DUTY THAT DAY.”
Not many are willing to stand up to him. It reminds me of school yard bully who rules by intimidation. One thing certain, I have never met a FR intimidated by him.
