It's not anything of the sort. The man is unelectable

I'm sure it's different this time. Just like every time. They said the same things about Reagan (not that Reagan was perfect, far from it. I'm just using him as an example of how moderates attempt to demonize or marginalize anyone to their right by labeling them "extremists" or "unelectable").

The task ahead of us is to elect a Republican who IS conservative.

Like W was conservative? Or his old man? Or the two losers Dole and McCain?

What you are asking for is a Republican party that is no longer socially conservative, but fiscally conservative only. Country club Republicans. Social conservatives need not apply.

Ronald Reagan was an electable conservative. Ron Paul is neither.

You must not have been around during the 1980 election cycle when Reagan was mocked and ridiculed as a cowboy who was going to start WWIII. By the way, Ronald Reagan disagrees with you about Ron Paul

It was mostly the left who said that Reagan was "unelectable." And a few Rockefeller Republicans (i.e. liberals). I remember the election well, and I remember being disappointed that Reagan didn't shrink gov't as he promised. (All of us conservatives were. Some hated him for it. Most of us don't demand perfection in our conservative Presidents).

As I said, the task ahead is to nominate a candidate who IS conservative. Showing those photos is irrelevant. There are pictures of Reagan with Tip O'Neill too......in fact the two of them got along quite well.

Not sure what your point is.

Ron Paul is unelectable, and not conservative enough.
