A recent Rasmussen Reports survey revealed that voters remain concerned about Social Security and whether the system can deliver what the government has promised. According to the survey, 58% of U.S. voters lack confidence that the Social Security system will pay them their future benefits.
Advocates for amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants like to claim that amnesty will "save" Social Security. They also claim that dramatically increased immigration levels will safeguard our retirements and those of our children because more people will pay into the system.
Unfortunately, the opposite is true.
During the last Congress, I asked the Social Security Administration (SSA) to calculate the value in today's dollars of the payroll taxes paid by typical illegal immigrants and their employers as well as the value of their retirement benefits should they receive amnesty. Not only the typical illegal immigrant but any low-skilled immigrant will affect the solvency of the Social Security Trust Fund.
Illegal immigrant workers, often with false identities, can't avoid paying into Social Security but are not eligible to receive retirement benefits for their illegal work. But if they receive amnesty, they can qualify for Social Security retirement benefits based on their earlier illegal work. And those benefits will amount to much more than what they paid into Social Security!
A single male illegal immigrant who works for very low wages and is now 25 years old will receive (at today's value) $15,596 more in Social Security retirement benefits. A similar female illegal immigrant will receive $20,936 more in retirement benefits.

WELL , DUH!
It took them this long to figure this out?
Illegals are LAW BREAKERS! DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS NOW!
And, let’s not forget about other social services as free food....they love their free Lone Star card here in Texas! In addition, they also drive all the costs up for us-—car, home and hospitalization insurances (since they don’t have those either and will not when legal citizens).
No one is doing the math except those who hire them and “save” a few bucks for their coffers. SICK !!!
I’ve posted this before, but the Fraser Institute’s phenomenal study on the harmful effects of mass immigration, explains this issue perfectly.

Yet so many of those in power, are completely either oblivious or beholden to Corporate lobbying.
Our illegitimate government’s obdurate refusal to secure the borders can be fully explained by the wrongheaded thinking that illegals, given amnesty, will then “come out of the shadows” and give Social Security a few more years than it would otherwise have. Illegals are comfortable with and accustomed to the underground economy. Many live here for decades without seeking citizenship. I believe that the underground economy is the most powerful tool available for bringing down socialism. In that sense, I view the illegals as allies.
Illegal aliens have taken hundreds of thousands of jobs in the building trades from cabinet makers to roofers. Plenty of kids would take landscaping jobs. My brother did yard work when he was a teen and many strong young people would like to have jobs with landscape companies mowing, fixing sprinlers, trimming and fertilizing, etc..
And most Americans are willing to work as maids and dishwashers. A friend of mine owned a maid/house keeping service. She had several employees and they were all white. These people are low-skilled and are willing to work hard to put food on the table and establish a good work record. Some were returning to the work force after a long break for whatever reason and were willing to work hard to put food on the table.
The ONLY job that I’m aware of that Americans largely won’t do is pick crops. That used to be done by the old bracero program. Labor contractors would bring up large numbers of trained crop pickers from Mexico. They’d pick and they were gone. They didn’t sort or pack. Many of those jobs were taken by teens and college kids looking for a 6 or 7 week job in the summer to make spending money. I was one of them nd all the other kids did it, too. We hustled and we got paid okay. We used the money to buy some extra clothes and make-up (teen girls love clothes and make-up) and saved the rest to buy Christmas gifts for family members and best friends.
My first job after high school was working in a cafe/diner. I waited tables, bussed tables and washed dishes. I mopped floors daily and cleaned windows. Then I got a better job in another restaurant as a hostess. I greeted and seated customers, poured coffee, ran the register, took complaints and waited tables once in a great while in they were short-handed. Then the college student union hired me to do inventory control and supervise cashiers, make up the menus, etc.. In other words, I gained more and more responsibility and better pay. Restauarnt and library work put me through college with some help from my folks.
The whole problem is our media culture. Kids are “taught” theough the media culture that they’re too good to do hard work, es[ecially if it’s menial. Did he become “menial” because we allowed illegals to come in and do those jobs, thus lowering the opinion of honest, hard work and eelegitimizing the basic work ethic? It was hard work, but it was honorable.
That’s why we have illegals infesting every branch of employment that doesn’t require a solid education or college degree. Americans used to do those jobs. They may not have bben proud of their job titles, but they did their work with a work ethic - a day’s work for a day’s pay - and could hold their heads up in public as hard-working Americans.
And the money stayed in this country.
If it wasn’t for the sick media culture teaching our kids rhey’re too good to do some hard work in their younger years, we wouldn’t have this problem, at least not at the level we currently do. They learn through the media they should be able to take whatever they want and never have to work a day for it. Instead of getting on their asses, the parents reinforce and mollycoddle them, a skillsuit most definitely acquired through leftist ideology permeating all of our schools, including universities. They defend their kids’ misbehavior and disrespect.
