A month after trailing all but Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich, President Barack Obama is now ahead of all four major Republican presidential candidates polled, plus a new dark horse. Obama has increased his lead over Palin from 47-45 to 50-43 since April; she is the only candidate against whom Obama has majority support. Even unknown candidate Gary Johnson, former New Mexico governor, has Obama at 46, to Johnson’s 28. Obama leads Mike Huckabee 46-45 after trailing him 47-45 last month. The president beats Gingrich 49-42; they were tied at 45 in April. Romney lags behind Obama 46-44 after beating him 45-44 a month ago.

I know a lot of obama voters that are not happy with him and it is not because he is not liberal enough. These are people that, point by point, agree with me politically but still voted for the usurper. Its all I can do to keep from strangling them.
The pollster, Tom Jensen is a Democratic Party hack and an idiot, and he is just repeating Democratic Party talking points instead of just doing polling. What he is saying goes against every single poll out there.

I’m not convinced that the main purpose of these polls isn’t to persuade Conservatives that Governor Palin doesn’t stand a chance.
Right now, she is our best chance. By far.
It’s about what I would expect with so many possible Republican contenders, and the split between conservatives and Keynesian, mushy Republicans. Also, the economy has the appearance of improving, but the path to 2012 is loaded with landmines.

i remember that Johnson guy now - never knew his name but i remember a Governor of NM on a crusade to legalize drugs.
They are trying to use reverse psychology like they used to do on 50s television shows.

I think you’re exactly right. There probably is some resignation/fatigue associated with the healthcare fight. The msm keeps spinning economic news to 0bama’s advantage and there is no one specific issue right to rally the sheeple in the middle against 0bama.
Also Obama may be receiving credit for “saving us” from the Times Square bomber and cleaning up the oil spills.
Earlier this week, this pollster polled GOP voters if they still supported off shore drilling. The pollster spun his data as Republicans, who still support offshore drilling, as being pro-oil spills.
My opinion is that the rats and their followers are desperately attempting to identify the next Republican candidate, in order to prepare their MASSIVE ATTACKS.
As long as they don’t have anything firm to go on, they will waste their time manufacturing dirt on any and all candidates they imagine is the ONE, in vain attempts to draw our candidate out into the open.
SO, better to never use our candidate’s real name until it is absolutely necessary. Say, at the Republican convention. That would be a good time to reveal his name.
And, we should also refer to the candidate as HE and HIM all the time until it is no longer necessary. No sense in dropping hints for the little ferrets to follow.
