The New Black Panther Party threatened defendants in Durham in the Duke lacrosse case (one uniformed member even made death threats to a defendant while sitting IN THE COURTROOM).
Shabazz also held a private meeting with DA Nifong and later addressed a rally in Durham’s principal historic black church, in which he proceeded to condemn the lacrosse players whites, and Jews (more or less in that order).*
*None of those in attendance walked out or complained
Had a klansman done those things, the DOJ would have been on the scene in a heartbeat.
But the DOJ wouldn’t touch the Duke case with a ten-foot pole. (Maybe if the athletes had been muslim or transgendered or black...)
Of course if a 97 y/o white guy was outside the polling place with a cane, HE would have been thrown in prison the rest of his life!!
