Ah yes graduation day at night with a suitcase and only one graduate wearing leis, sailors in uniform..absent Ann and his baby Obie...photo taken in dark unlit area...May 1964 afternoon? yeah that’s the ticket. And you question us as to speculation?
Like I said, silly me for trusting the news agency who published the photo rather than the random unknown internet person who saw the photo and guessed the secret real truth.
And sailors? And leis? In *Hawaii*? What are the odds? Clearly, they must be getting off a ship.
Seriously though, where on earth did "May 1964 afternoon" come from? Barack Sr. graduated from the University of Hawaii in June 1962. And while I admittedly was not in Hawaii in June 1962, I'm fairly certain they had regular periods of darkness in those days.
