SEATTLE, Wash. -- A female Seattle police officer, caught on videotape stomping on a detainee’s leg, has been accused of police brutality in the past.
The details are laid out in a 2005 federal civil lawsuit, uncovered by KIRO Investigative Reporter Chris Halsne.
Cries of police brutality against a Seattle police officer caught stomping on a downed suspect's leg - have surfaced before. Use-of-force photographs, taken shortly after Seattle police arrested Raymond Edward Nix tell quite a story. Nix has a bloody face, swollen eye, bruises, and a skin-scraped elbow.
Federal Court records show he was beaten nearly to death in front of Kelly's bar in Belltown by a special team of black-shirted Anti-Crime Team (ACT) cops from the West Precinct in July of 2003.
Among those accused of participating - Mary Lynn Woollum.
Now seven years later, Woollum is a SPD field training officer. She was caught on videotape stomping on a young Latino man, moments after another officer - Detective Shandy Cobane - kicked the detainee in the head and screamed a racist comment.

Just a few thoroughly rotten apples are to blame for all this happenstance. The same as the last few thousand times.
Odd nobody is venting anger at the 2 Mexicans arrested who were in this country ILLEGALLY and who were robbing people on the street while welding machetes. But an arresting officer stomps on a forearm, and another holds down the a leg with her foot, and out comes the “jack booted thugs” insults.
They are not supposed to be upholding the law, and presumably will be punished for their crimes. Law officers are rarely if ever prosecuted (look up Lon Horouchi) let alone convicted and punished (Chris Braga) for the crimes they commit. If police don't want to be tarred with the JBT brush, then they should make efforts to prosecute and convict their own who engage in these practices rather than hiding and covering up for their fellows

They only cry out against illegals when it suits them. But given the choice between hard-core illegal alien criminals and cops, they'll take the side of the illegals every time.
Just another couple of examples of the 99% giving the 1% a bad name.
I have seen the video tape of the event, “stomping” on the head, was actually using of the shoe to move the mans hand away from his face. Go to the site at www.seattlep-i.com. If you call that stomping on someones face, you must think that pig is beef too.

Yep, you're right. Arguing with them is enough to give one an aneurysm. Often there is little difference between hard-core Libertarians and the Lyndon Larouchers. Both seem to have have little or no respect for Police Officers.
Looking up to our Police, and our Military as personal heroes of ours is a natural conservative trait. But not for these fellows.
Not all, but some of these conversations sound like those one can expect to hear around the dinner table.... in a prison.
