Not so. Social Security numbers today might be issued when a child is a baby, when I was growing up you didn't need one for anything until you went to work, and it was quite common to not get them until you were in high school. I was issued one in the State I resided in when I applied, not the State of birth.
Obama wasn't issued one until his college years I bet. And yes, like everything else about him, his is a fraud.
Same for me, but I still resided in the state where I was born. I was a teenager when I got mine. Maybe they’re issued at birth now, but that wasn’t the case 40 years ago.
He worked at Baskin Robins when he was 15 in HI
You could get one when you started a job and I got mine and my job in the 70’s even though I was born in 57.
But the first 3 digits of the Soc Sec number is accurate for the state of CT-where I live now.
I did not get a SS # until I registered for the Selective Service in 1974 at age 17. I had to register to go into the military. I wonder, did the Kenyan Village Idiot every register for Selective Service, it is the law now, was when I was a teenager, hmmmm?
I didn’t have a social security number until 1972. My son and I got them only because you had to have them for income tax deductions that year. My husband and I were in Alabama at the time, so we have Alabama social security numbers. This includes my son’s birth in Italy while hubby was stationed there with the Army. Never needed them to get passports either.
Absolutely true. I remember going to the SS office with my father to get my card - age 16 - so I could get a part time job.
