already lists Mollahan as having lost on May 11. 2010.

That's strange

lol Sometimes it is easy to forget not everyone is following every race. Mollohan is such a crook I thought everyone knew who he was.

It’s official, Mollohan just conceded. I think that the Tea Party movement whom Mollohan had attacked crossed over and voted in the DemocRAT primary. The victor, state Senator Mike Oliverio, is a churchgoing Catholic who ran as a conservative opponent of abortion and gun control and called for repealing ObamaCare. Normally, this isn’t a winning formula in a Democrat primary.

First Bennett, now Mollohan bites the dust. Don’t be surprised if more fall, starting with The Specter in Pennsylvania next week.

The good news is it appears Republicans are very motivated. David McKinley is cruising to the nomination on the Republican side.
Thanks Maelstorm.

re: You might want to develop your search skills. A simple search of the candidates name would tell you where he is from, what district he represents, and what party he belongs to. Its really simple, and when you are done, you will be a better informed citizen. None of us can be expected to know each of the current members of Congress or to know the particulars of their individual races, but its so easy these days to become an expert. After a simple Google search on the name, go to the Cook Political report and learn about his district. Before long, you will know more than anyone in your neighborhood.)))

TOTALLY disagree with your scold. Why make someone waste their time on Google when a simple parenthetical WV CD in the headline would convey the information?

My pet peeve here are those who post info like "Murder in Greenville" only to find that it is a TV station with no state identifiers. Do a Google search on how many Greenvilles there are in the US, since you like to waste your own time.

Or --- the person posting the thread could simply include the most basic, and relevant details in their post to begin with, so that the hundreds of readers who open the thread have a fundamental understanding of what it's about.

Naw.....let 'em all Google it.

A Tea Party supported candidate winning a Democrat primary is big, especially since he defeated a 28-year incumbent. You have told us again that something big this year will happen, and this appears to be the beginning.

Very good news. Will there be any votes at all for a democrat on November 2, 2010?

Even if a Republican doesn’t take this seat in the fall, this is a huge step in the right direction.

No it isn't. When they vote to organize the House after the elections, who do you think this "conservative democrat" is going to vote for as speaker? The Republican, Boner (not a spelling mistake) or Pelousey (not a spelling mistake either)?

Just remember this, Stup(id)ak was a Pro Life democrat too.

The Blue Ridge mountains and the Shenandoah River are in Virginia, not West Virginia :)

He sounds preferable to many Republicans, frankly. I gather he won't be herded by the likes of Pelosi, Reid or Obama.

You're being played. There were plenty of "Blue Dog Democrats" in the last Congress, and when the chips were down, they made Pelosi Speaker and passed her agenda. If this guy has a "D" behind his name, he'll vote like a 'Rat, everytime.

Here’s another poll that counts. The incumbent has been in Congress since 1982.

Oliviero is a DINO in many ways..

Is there really such an animal as a DINO or a "blue dog" anymore in Washington? My take is that this current Pelosi-Reid Congress proves that the species is extinct.

I knew exactly where this race was, after all it was on Hannity at the same time this thread came up. I was trying to make a point that a thread is pretty worthless when you have to do a Google search to figure out the meaning of a thread.
