She’s joking about confused people when she thinks it’s the Attorney General that puts the labels on cigarettes, when it’s the SURGEON General’s warning on cigarettes??
Complicated question... The “Surgeon General’s Warnings” are in fact codified in the U.S. Code (i.e. legislated by Congress). I’m sure the Surgeon General was consulted? lol.
But the A.G. (and the U.S. Attorneys under him) have the responsibility to enforce the labeling (as with all other federal laws).
Not sure what her point was.
So...it somehow manages to be worse than I thought....
