Reminds me of a battle that goes on in NJ over a rock near Fort Dix on the side of Rt 539. Typically this rock is painted like the Stars and Stripes, then some commies come along and paint it green or in some other “progressive” motif, then a few days later its back to Stars and Stripes. This has been going on for years. Its nothing official but people are fierce in keeping that rock Red, White, and Blue.
