Who knows by how many magnitudes more people have been murdered by abortifacient birth control than by surgical abortion? Surgical abortion is just the tiny tip of the enormous iceberg. The pill is insecticide against people in a world that is increasingly and grotesquely misanthropic. It is a brutal chemical attack against Creation and Creation's Holy God. It is the seed of our self destruction. It should have been called the suicide pill.

As several others have said, I believe that the destruction of marriage also has quite a bit to do with the rise of militant feminism and the ease of divorce, which can occur seemingly on a whim it seems.
When nothing is held Sacred, then nothing really functions correctly anymore.
I wish that I knew of a way to put the 'genie' back into the bottle.
