Pelosi Announces Mexican President Felipe Calderon to Address Joint Meeting of Congress on May 20
PRNewswire-USNewswire ^ | May 10,2010 | Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Posted on 05/10/2010 4:36:46 PM PDT by mdittmar

Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today that President Felipe Calderon of Mexico will address a Joint Meeting of Congress on May 20 at 11 a.m.

"Congress will warmly welcome President Calderon to the Capitol when he visits the United States next month as part of his state visit," said Speaker Pelosi.  "As President of Mexico, our neighbor and friend, we look forward to hearing President Calderon's message to the American people, and his views on ways to strengthen our border communities, fight organized crime, and reinforce the essential partnership between our two nations."

"Our countries may be separated by a border, but we share much in common —our values of faith, family, and love of our respective countries.  Relations with Mexico are of utmost importance to the United States.  President Calderon's address to Congress will provide us with a renewed opportunity to strengthen our bonds of friendship, discuss our shared challenges, and embrace common opportunities."

In 2001, then-President of Mexico Vicente Fox addressed a Joint Meeting of Congress.  Mexican-Americans are the largest Hispanic group in the United States — more than 12 percent of Americans trace their ancestry to Mexico.

‘Our countries may be separated by a border’

Huh?? Who knew that??? I WISH those in charge of our country would enforce the border. Napolitano, former Governor of Arizona, stopped the building of the fence. Does anyone think these yahoos care at all about the border???

So the Mexican president comes to beg for more malfeasance in our Congress to let his poverty and drugs continue to flow across our borders....and to allow more fleecing of the American taxpayer to fund his poverty and total lack of leadership of Mexico...

So when is Calderon addressing the Arizona Legislature?

I'll watch that speech for sure.

Watch him closely...he’ll probably try to stay here. Go back to your festering hell-hole of a country. Like we need “advice” from you, you corrupt freak. Take the plastic-face witch with you.

“Our countries may be separated by a border ...”

Or: “Mexico may be in the peeing section of the North American pool, while the US and Canada are in the non-peeing section ...
but don’t I look life-like for 80?”

Another step in the Democrat playbook, to make the 2010 election about the supposed racism of the other side.

Calderon can't run his own country, so he's going to come up here to tell us how to run ours.

Here comes the One-Two punch: Comprehensive Immigration Reform, followed quickly by Universal Voter Registration. If CommiCrates fail at this maneuver they will cancel 2010 elections, most likely because of WWIII.

If this poster girl for plastic surgery and botox wants to play to her base she should have invited the president of the fag and lesbo alliance to address Congress.
God only knows, her hero ossama obammy is partial to the “alternate lifestyle” folks. He’s got a lesbo Sec of State, Secy of homeland security and now two Supreme Court justices.
Hey Nancy, does the handle on that gavel vibrate?
I’m sorry mods, delete if you like. I had to rant, I’m just sick of these country wreckers!!!

Good idea. First item of business should be to copy the Mexican constitution on immigration. How's that for strengthening friendship, sharing challenges and embracing opportunities?

This is a big risk for the San Fran Gran Nan. She better had demanded the right of approval to the speech. I don’t think 75% of Americans are in the mood to be lectured to by el President de Estados Unidos de Mexico.

This is when Soetero will announce that the Mexican trucks can come over the border freely as per NAFTA.

But congress will lap it up and ask for more!

That impression ain’t gonna help Congress. Try passing “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” after being lectured to by Calderon. Good luck.
