You’re right. The US funds the IMF to a tune of 70% and the IMF is contributing $320 Billion in this most recent bailout. You are correct to assume that this only delays the inevitable. Unless Greece makes structural changes to their economic system, they will NOT succeed. The rise in their VAT to 23% is the wrong way to go. The fact that 1/3 of their workforce (EU numbers) works for the government does not create any wealth whatsoever; it just means more parasites at the trough (retirement at an early age, long vacations, generous penions and benefits).
