This center in Georgia is taking $5.50 in "federal money" and adding 50 cents of its own.

The $5.50 comes from taxpayers all over the country, some of which would be fine with the prayer, and some who would not.

So it's just like schools. You've got to cut that federal umbilical if you want to be free.

Sorry, but that’s wrong. There is nothing anywhere that says “Your activities have to be completely non-religous if you receives federal funds”

Does the government prevent people who receive food stamps from praying? Are religous groups allowed at high schools or colleges that receive federal funds? Are there chaplins in the military?

This was an administrator reading too far into the “separation of church and state” rules while ignoring “the free expression of religion” piece of the Constitution. Nothing more.
