When he emerged, Lisner noticed him holding something. She said she asked him to show his hands but he did not, Hidalgo wrote. The victim "suddenly turned" with the item, the prosecutor noted. Still hearing gunfire, and believing she was in danger, Lisner shot Balandran once in the chest, Hidalgo wrote.

Under all the circumstances, her "split second" decision was reasonable and legal, Hidalgo wrote. The item turned out to be a McDonald's food container.

Balandran did nothing wrong, Hidalgo noted, acting as any bystander would trying to escape danger.

If someone yells at you, your first reaction will be to turn around if the voice is coming from another direction. If your holding something your not going to throw it down. This mans death warrnt was signed as soon as he left Mcdonalds. There is nothing he could have done to save his life.

How does someone walk into the middle of a shoot out?

Me thinks there are more facts that need to to come out.

2 Lebanon Tennessee Police Officers are on leave after shooting and killing an unarmed man. Both officers rushed a suspect vehicle after a car chase. One officer claimed he slipped on lose gravel accidentally firing his weapon. Second officer who thought the suspect was shooting, shot and killed the suspect. TBI Investigating.

Am I missing something here? If the cop could hear the shooting, couldn't the victim also hear it? Why didn't he hit the deck or better yet, why did he walk out of the restaurant into the middle of a gun fight?

There’s a lady cop taking heat from civilians for shooting a so-called bystander over here - one of your people.

It could have been “officer down!”

But luckily, only the civilian died.

OTOH, there is no way the sop would have known the victim was deaf, but there will be a law suit anyway.

Easy, unarmed innocent person is in noisy restaruarnt, and possiby didn't here shots or commotions outside...Innocent unarmed person exits restaurant.....

Scared female cop outside suddenly commands innocent person put his hands up...Innocent unarmed person does not comply quick enough to scared female cop's demand, and scared female cop then shoots the innocent unarmed bystander to death....

Cop threads always bring out those willing to attack cops at the first chance they get, usually doing so w/o the benefits of all the facts which are pertinent to the situation.
