In a different era, Chuck DeVore might have been a shoo-in for the Republican Party nomination for U.S. Senate. His conservative credentials are nearly impeccable.
For six years, his voting record has been as uniformly pleasing to the right as might reasonably be expected for a member of the state Assembly, where integrity routinely is traded for votes. The Irvine lawmaker's endorsement by the California Republican Assembly and emergence as Tea Party darling only solidified his bona fides.
He's pro-life and pro-business, against big government and against big taxes. I’m voting for Chuck. Tom is the worst of the three. If it comes down to it I will have a hard time pulling the lever for Tom. But then I look over and see Boxer. Geez what a choice but that is California politics.
