Yes, and Japan will do what exactly? China is an industrialized country with 10x japan’s population, nukes, and continental resources at their disposal. Japan might have to make some accommodations to survive in this brave new world.

Japan might have to make some accommodations to survive in this brave new world. Japan's GDP is about the same as China's, which means Japan's per-capita GDP is higher. Japan can have nukes within months of deciding to.
