63 Democratic House Seats In Play For Republicans
IBD's Capital Hill ^ | 5/8/2010 | David Hogberg

Posted on 05/08/2010 7:58:43 AM PDT by Slyscribe

That Republican wave is looking bigger: 63 Democrat-held House seats are now toss-ups, likely GOP pickups or lean Democrat. That’s based on average of estimates from the Cook Political Report, the Rothenberg Political Report, Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball and Real Clear Politics. When IBD looked at that average about a month ago, it was 48. By some estimates, the Republican potential target list is far bigger. National Review’s Jim Geraghty recently released his list of 99 Democrat seats in play.

Maybe it's not a surprise there's already talk of whether Nancy Pelosi would remain as "Minority Leader," but that can't be a good omen for Democrats.

My count is 79 Dem seats. The Republican seats that are also potentially in play pushes the list to 90+

"...that can't be a good omen for Democrats."

Ah, but it's pure Heaven to my eyes. Please, Lord, let it be so!

That assumes she gets re-elected.

We we remain focused and work HARD AS HELL right up to the election then we all can share in the enjoyment of saying these 2 things to this Regime in Washington...

"Hit the road Nancy" -"0bama you're NEXT!"

2012 Regime Change once agains becomes TOP America's priority, only this time the Hussein is in DC.

I have a hunch the 'rats actually WANT the GOP to control the next congress -- because the time-bombs they placed in the economy are set to go off between November 2010 and November 2012 -- when they fully intend to blame the Republicans for them -- with the complicity, of course, of the traditional media and their TOTAL economic illiteracy and myopia (remember the incredibly stupid Susan Roesgen, who had the nerve to assume we didn't realize that the interest on a $12Trillion debt has to be north of $1Trillion/year, and who is actually no more short-sighted and bigoted than the rest of them). We have to spread the word, if we can, about the possibility of such a plot.

A bit of a challenge for you: are you running for an office or helping someone (a true conservative - whether in your area or not) win an election by donating some of your time and money? If so, fantastic! If not, why not?

Trillions in spending, terrorists on board planes, oil slicks that rival Valdez, unemployment, massive favoritism of illegal intruders, high taxes, class warfare...... DUH!

Yes! That's why some of us have been preaching the optimum scenario is to leave the Rats “in the majority” by about 3-5 seats in the House and 1-2 seats (including the VP) in the Senate. They are still “in charge” with unworkable majorities, and they will still continue to own the mess that they created starting back in 2006.

Then the GOP runs on a “clean sweep of the WH and the entire Congress” platform in 2012.

Any and all stops will be pulled out to give the first “black” president a second term, blaming the GOP will be priority 1 if it is there to obtain Soetoro’s 2nd term.

And a 2nd Soetoro term would make the 1st one look like a Utopia.

I think Conservatives and Republicans will be deeply disappointed by the 2010 election results.

According to Real Clear Politics national poll averages, voters believe that America is on the “Wrong Track” by 57%-36% - a 21 point spread!

Yet, voters still approve of Obama by 48%-45%.

According to RCP, voters “Disapprove” of the Democratic Party dominated Congress by 71%-23% - a 48 point spread!

Yet, in “Generic Congressional Vote” polls, Republicans lead Democrats by 43.1%-42.4% - less than one percent.

America has changed.

Our politics have steadily moved leftward for 22 years.

Democratic voters now register and vote in higher numbers.

And massive legal immigration, which favors the Democratic Party by 2-1, has fundamentally altered the raw political numbers.

The GOP will gain seats in 2010.

At best, however, our gains will equal the historical average for mid-term elections.

Boehner: GOP could pick up 100 seats
The Hill | 04/30/10 | Michael O'Brien
FR Posted May 01, 2010 by TBP

House Republicans could win 100 or more seats in this fall's elections, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Friday. Boehner said he believes there is no seat that the GOP cannot win during this election cycle, judging by Sen. Scott Brown's (R) improbable win in January's special election in Massachusetts. 'That assumes she gets re-elected.

Pelosi's not going to reelected in Berkley, CA? She won her last election by more than 50-points, and that's when she had Cindy Sheehan on her far left. No serious candidate is running to her left now. I'm not sure a Republican has managed more than 15% in any race in the last 20 years.

Pelosi's reelection is about as certain as anyone in the country.

Nver underestimate the stupidity of republicans.

My county GOP chair just switched his endorsement from the conservative leading the democrat by 10 points, to the republican trailing the democrat by 10 points.

Personally I think its time to replace the local GOP chair.
