The Episcopalian Pastor/Psychologist, M. Scott Peck, broke this murderously evil group into subsets, in a book titled, People Of The Lie.

Thanks - I'll check that out. My reading list grows. Take care and stay well...

Speaking of subsets of people I've always liked how Heinlein put it: "Political tags — such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth — are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort."

The problem is that those who want people to be controlled will stop at nothing and I do mean absolutely nothing to accomplish that goal.

How do we live with them? You hit it squarely on the head. We can't. We'll never be able to. And it's coming to a head sooner rather than later.

When it does it's going to be damned ugly. They've got their hands on the control levers of the most powerful nation state that's ever existed. And they're NOT going to give that up because they've lost anything as silly as an election.

Do you remember that part in Unintended Consequences where Henry Bowman asked his Professor something along the lines of "How do we know when the Government is like that guy with the van and the handcuffs?"

Well I'd say we're pretty much at that point now.

What do we do about it? Well that's not a subject for this forum, nor any other public forum. That's a subject for hushed whispers with trusted friends.
