Once again, a man of Pakistani descent is at the center of a security story, leading to backlash against the Pakistani-American community.

While there have been no reported incidents since the failed car bomb attack last Saturday, some Pakistanis are bracing for reprisals. Police have increased foot patrols.

Yes, India is 13% Muslim. With over 1.1 billion people, that's at least 140 million Indian Muslims, vs. maybe 170 million Pakistani Muslims.

I've known one Indian Muslim living in the US, who was an unbearable jerk but not dangerous, and one Pakistani doctor practicing in the US, now deceased, who was a fine human being.
