Yesterday, a listeners son was offended that his school, Klein Collins High School, displayed the Mexican flag prominently. His mother called to complain, and the school wouldnt return her call. The student took the sign down.
The school pitched a fit, reviewed the surveillance tapes, found the student, and suspended him for 3 days. AND he has to pay for the flag. In light of the SF story of students sent home for wearing the AMERICAN flag because it offended the Hispanic students, I thought youd like to know about a story closer to home.
You realize, I assume, that if a student removed or even burned the AMERICAN flag, they wouldnt do anything about it, Ill bet.

Please go to the website and look at the photo of the Mexican flag flying
prominently ABOVE the American Flag!. This is outrageous!
Can a FR poster please copy that photo and post it in this thread.

the American Legion needs to go do a flag program at that school and teach all those people proper flag etiquette

That looks like the pic taken a few years ago.
Still riles me to look at it, but it doesn’t appear recent or related to this story.

Kid should have worn a headdress like a Taliban fighter, or a Burka.
Personally I would have done the same thing. Our schools are not the United nations where they can fly any flag the want.

The American flag is in the distress position so I think this photo is from a protest against illegal immigration.

I wonder if on some special day for the south, they’d raise up the Rebel Flag? Nah, kind of doubt that...
No foreign flags should ever fly in this country, without the US flag flying above it. Or, I thought that was the protocol?
Well, all I can say is, this story, and the one yesterday, will make most Americans realize that laws against illegals need to be enforced and strengthened. Unfortunately, neither political party in the USA has any guts at all...

Stinko de mio is not even a federal holiday in Mexico so I don’t get why Mexicans and Americans here make such a big deal of it besides as an excuse to drink.
And no national flag except under certain exceptions such as a visiting dignitary from another country being honored at a public government expense should fly on our flag poles. And then only with the U.S. Flag being given the place of highest honor.

Origins: The above-displayed image of a Mexican national flag flown above an upside-down U.S. flag was taken on
27 March 2006 at Montebello High School (MHS) in California during a student protest over immigration reform. According to news reports, the flag incident was prompted and implemented not by MHS students, but by a large group of students from neighboring schools:
The incident took place about noon Monday, when a group of about 1,000 students from the El Rancho and Whittier Union High school districts marched through Pico Rivera to Montebello High, where students had walked out of classes in the previous week to protest proposed immigration reform legislation.
By the time they reached Montebello High, the campus was on lockdown, district officials said.
That's when the protesters took to the flagpole, added the Mexican flag and turned the U.S. flag upside down. The school's California flag was stolen in the process, [Assistant Superintendent Robert] Henke said.
Immediately after the incident, the MHS web site carried a notice on its opening page advising visitors that: We have received many phone calls and E-mails about the reports that Montebello High School students put up a Mexican flag and took down the American flag this past Monday. MONTEBELLO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DID NOT TAKE PART. Students from the El Rancho HIGH School District and the Whittier Union High School District took part in this action. Our Administration, Staff, and students do not condone this action. We hope this clarifies the situation.

I have to say; Stinko De Mayo is a false Holiday. So France sells Mexico to Mexico. The Mexican prez defaults on the payments to France. France comes to reposess. The Mexicans ambush Maxamillion. The French loose (nothing new here) BUT,Mexico can’t make their payments and then kill the providers. Hmmm Really fine holiday you got there.

How about St. Patrick's Day king and queen? (sarc)

Thanks for the correction. I assumed that was what flew over Klein school, since it accompanied the website article. Either way, the words tell the story.
