The Fed would argue they don’t ‘buy’ stocks. But, over the recent years the PPT has stepped in numerous times to ‘save’ US.

Please elaborate.... do they stop the trading or do they use US taxpayer dollars to stop stock slides?

It is merely speculation[The Fed can't buy stocks?!]. However, there is $2 Trillion that the Gov't won't disclose, for fear of displaying market weakness.

I would guess, that alot of people would go Greek if that information was published.

That depends upon what brand of foil you use to make a hat.

It’s illegal for the gov’t to intervene in the market and buy stocks. But the Working Group probably makes some phone calls to encourage someone to buy.
