That's assuming they can get more than the Tories. Its too early to call it.

Celctic and Rangers is a sectarian struggle, I’m afraid. So I guess some Irish might get involved. Not heard of it though.

Neither BNP or UKIP have cost the tories any seats in this election. Well maybe one. BNP tend to take just as many votes away from Labour anyway, being a primarily working glass blue collar movement. And statists.

Tories take Stockton South. That is a blinding result.

Southampton might be very close? They said this was one of the safest Labour seats.

See post 309, re: a constituency in which the Tory lost by less than the number of votes thd UKIP guy got. Is that the one race to which you were referring?

In one sense, a "hung" Parliament means the government of the day - Labour has the first shot at forming a government even if the Tories get more overall seats. There has to be continuity. The key is whether the LibDems will give Labor more votes than the Tories despite the party losing over 90 plus seats.

Yep.

And even then it assumes that those people who voted UKIP would have voted tory instead, which they might not have done.

Most conservatives regard the Cameron Tories as a pastel shade of Labour. There's not been much enthusiasm for them in the past campaign.

DU appears to be getting sad. Their international socialism appears to be cracking, and that’s not tolerable. Change only when it’s towards the left.

That would leave the LibDems in the kingmaker role and they would exact a high price from whatever party courted their support if a "hung Parliament" does materialize on Friday.

Exactly. We'd have seen the Conservatives post significant gains relative to 2005. The only question is whether the gains reported tonight translate into a majority for them.

I don’t understand why the “working class” would support leftists, who wants to give most of their income to the government?

Someone on BBC called a coalition between Labour and LibDems a “coalition of losers”.
