No, you go into it with a preconceived opinion, it is called faith, and it can and does rationalize everything. The problem is that this world would be much better off if it operated on provable truth and fact. If any situation does not agree with your faith then you have to change your perspective until you can make it fit. In reality, the truth never changes. Some people are just plain evil and need to be dead. Some situations are just wrong with too much death, pain, and suffering, and who ever is at fault or allowed it to happen should be held accountable. The church of global warming is a great example of this type of rationalization and preconceived ideas that are in direct opposition to provable facts.
