'Tis a more devilish work for someone to claim that the Messiah Himself didn't know what He was talking about. After all, did not Yeshua say, "Therefore when you see the Abomination of Desolation standing in the Holy Place . . ."? And yet wasn't that prophecy (He quoted directly from Dan. 11:31) also fulfilled by Antiochus Epiphanes?Daniel 11 was indeed fulfilled by Antiochus Epiphanes.
Jesus simply warned His listeners that the Temple would be despoiled again.
As it indeed was, during the Great Tribulation of the Jewish Wars, AD 66 through 70.
Prophecy is about pattern, not prediction. That's why the Apostles could see in prophecies seemingly already fulfilled pictures of our King. And therefore it will be no surprise to the dilligent student of the Word when another Antiochus/Antichrist appears to defile the Temple yet again in the days just preceeding the return of our Savior. Shalom.
Well, there's no personal, Big-A "Antichrist" in Scripture. The Bible never employs the term in that manner.
But, at any rate -- as mentioned, Christ's own prophecy regarding the despoilment of the Temple has also been fulfilled.

[snip] It is no secret that Israel for decades has been a stable and responsible proprietor of nuclear weapons!
Yet to Mr. Obama there appears to be very little distinction between Israels nukes and the nuclear aspirations of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Even though Iran exists today as the number-one state sponsor of terrorism. Even though Tehran bankrolls the activities of terrorist proxies in the West Bank, in Gaza and in Lebanon. Even though Iranian mullahs and government leaders alike boast regularly and publicly about annihilating America, and bulldozing the Jewish state into the Mediterranean Sea. And even though Irans president prays openly for the return of the Mahdi and is actively working to precipitate the planet-engulfing chaos and violence that he says will precede it.
Mr. Obama is showing his backside to this old friend and ally -

I told you before to go harass somebody else. If you dont like it, dont read it.I don't object to any of your political posts, or at least I haven't seen any to which I object. Just any posts in which you claim that a Fulfilled Prophecy of Scripture, has NOT been fulfilled.
And that's not "personal". I object to anyone claiming that a Fulfilled Prophecy of Scripture, has NOT been fulfilled. I don't like seeing folks essentially calling God a Liar, that's all.

Obama is doing the work of the Devil.I don't doubt it.
And he's got no business trying to dictate Israel's own defense policies, to Israel.
Which is what the article at the top of this thread is about -- not about somebody's attempt to deny that a given Biblical Prophecy has been fulfilled, which frankly has nothing to do with the posted article.
What's stuck in your craw?
I just object to any posts in which somebody claims that a Fulfilled Prophecy of Scripture, has NOT been fulfilled. I don't like seeing folks essentially calling God a Liar, that's all.

It would be prudent for Israel to hide a sub-kiloton neutron bomb in their DC embassy. Just sayin’.

I've been wondering for years about the "Magog Invasion" (Ezek 38 & 39), when Russia and all her Islamic allies attempt to invade Israel. I couldn't understand how they could try that knowing that Israel could nuke all of them.
It makes (Biblical) sense that Obama is cutting U.S. support to Israel, because Israel would have to be geo-politicaly alone when the Magog Invasion occurs, but I could never figure out why Russia and her allies would risk the invasion when it would surely lead to nuclear retaliation from Israel.
NOW it's starting to come into focus. Israel will be stripped of her nukes BEFORE Ezekial 38 & 39 happens. They won't fear retaliation, either from the U.S. or Israeli nukes. Wow! It really is all starting to happen!

Nobodys calling God a liar and you know it. May God Himself deal with you and your false accusations. You dont like it. So take your complaints elsewhere. I have told you multiple times. Dont like it? Tough. Youre not setting the standard on what we can post. We will discuss it whether you like it or not.Discuss it all you like.
As will I.
If somebody wants to claim that a Fulfilled Biblical Prophecy, has NOT been fulfilled -- then, yes, I'm going to stand up for the integrity of God's Word and point out that the Prophecy in question HAS been fulfilled, and that the Bible's record of Prophetic Fulfillment remains a perfect 100% record.

But Christ
Himself made this prediction which would occur before His return:
Matthew 24:15-16:
15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains..."
Matthew 24:21
21 "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be..."
I'll take HIS word for it.

Ezekiel 38 and 39 says nothing of nuclear weapons. It's all folks with swords on horses and such. Not what you'd call a modern army.
As it happens, there's excellent evidence in Scipture itself that Ezekiel 38 and 39 were already fullfilled in Esther 9.
The slaughter of Israel's enemies in Ezekiel 39 fits with the number of deaths listed in Esther 9:16 (75,000). In Esther 9:5 we read that 'the Jews struck all their enemies with the sword, killing and destroying.' Ezekiel 38:5-6 tells us that Israel's enemies come from 'Persia, Ethiopia [lit., Cush], and . . . from the remote parts of the north . . . ,' all within the boundaries of the Persian Empire of Esther's day. From Esther we learn that the Persian Empire 'extended from India to Ethiopia [lit., Cush], 127 provinces . . .' in all (Esther 8:9). 'In other words, the explicit idea that the Jews were attacked by people from all the provinces of Persia is in both passages.' The parallels are unmistakable. -- But Is It In The Bible? by Gary DeMar

As Christ said, "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
His coming in Matthew 24 refers to His Coming in Judgment (upon Jerusalem), not to His future Bodily Return.
Admirable as were the engines constructed by all the legions, those of the tenth were of peculiar excellence. Their scorpions were of greater power and their stone-projectors larger, and with these they not only kept in check the sallying parties, but those also on the ramparts. The stones that were thrown were of the weight of a talent, and had a range of two furlongs and more. The shock, not only to such as first met it, but even to those beyond them for a considerable distance, was irresistible. The Jews, however, at the first, could guard against the stone; for its approach was intimated, not only to the ear by its whiz, but also, being white, to the eye by its brightness. Accordingly they had watchmen posted on the towers, who gave warning when the engine was discharged and the stone projected, calling out in their native language, "THE SON IS COMING!" on which those towards whom it was directed would separate, and lie down before it reached them. Thus it happened that, owing to these precautions, the stone fell harmless. It then occurred to the Romans to blacken it; when, taking a more successful aim, as it was no longer equally discernible in its approach, they swept down many at a single discharge. ~~ Josephus, Jewish Wars, bk. v. chap. vi. 3.
