Springtime In Chicago: Bullets Flying, Hot Air Blowing!
By Doug Wrenn

You gotta love liberals. Where else can you get so much free entertainment? For that matter, if Republicans are the party of "No," then the Democrats must be the party of unintended consequences. They just can't leave well enough alone and are utterly befuddled when their pesky micromanagement of trying to fix what is not broken or reinvent the wheel so often goes awry. To save on trees, they eliminated paper bags from grocery stores until plastic bags started filling up landfills. They tax the rich so much from many states that they pick up their wealth and move (because they can) and spread it elsewhere where they can live in peace and be unmolested by narrow minded socialist do-gooders. In Chicago they ban law abiding citizens from owning firearms. And now we see what total harmony that has wrought. For all the hot air being blustered in the Windy City right now before summer even starts as whizzing bullets crisscross the metropolis, one thing you won't hear there right now is anybody singing "Kum-ba-yah" any time soon as they duck and run for cover.I just don't get it. Chicago has had a long time gun ban, yet gun violence is now so drastically up officials are considering bringing in the National Guard...

While California Assemblyman Michael Feuer (D-Los Angeles) is busy working hard (to pass AB 1810) to inflict even further restrictions upon law abiding citizens in California (Convicted Felons need not comply), the city of Chicago is still busy proving that such measures may well INCREASE gun violence, rather than decrease it. ...Go figure.

Hi Seadog, good to see you posting.

Don't know what to say, Doug Wrenn goes waaaay to easy on the dems. They intend their consequences but may not think them through to how the end results turn out.

The rich lawmakers don't have to worry about being gun-less, they probably all have security guards.

I'm glad I don't live in Chicago, but the lawless border is rising up to meet me.

OPINION:

“....the Democrats must be the party of unintended consequences...”

I have always believed the extreme Left that now controls the Democrat Party, and unfortunately the majority (temporarily I hope) in our government are zealous morons with dreams they don’t wish to muddy by actually thinking about consequences.

The Left is comprised of the coddled. That doesn’t mean wealthy, only coddled, or protected no matter the family wealth, and therefore they believe what you and myself might consider goals as rights.

Some parents consider wiping their butts until they are adults, picking up after them, doing for them that which they should learn to do for themselves as good parenting, and fail to see the consequences of such coddling.

I believe we see it today in the form of the Leftists in our government no matter the level. They join with the opportunists, and criminals that use their coddled, snotty nosed, self righteousness to their benefit.

Daly has hamstrung our Police. They cannot be proactive. they cannot bust up gang gatherings on street corners anylonger. In fact the gangs are fearless. It doesn’t” help that Chicago is asanctuary city”

I understand that Illinois politicians are considered “officers of the court” and are allowed to carry concealed weapons.

Yes, and intended, or unintended, the idiots...

...don't care a whit about the consequences to others, as long as they manage to get themselves re-elected.
