Lap 5 — Jimmie Johnson up to 17th after starting 22nd.

Lap 3 — Jamie McMurray falls to third after his battle with Jeff Gordon.

Lap 1 — LEAD CHANGE: Jamie McMurray gets a great start and jumps out to the lead but Jeff Gordon closes and beats McMurray to the line.

7:45 p.m. — GREEN FLAG: Jamie McMurray brings the field to speed for 367 laps at Darlington.

7:41 p.m. — The cars are rolling off pit road for three warm-up laps.

7:37 p.m. — Michael Waltrip introduces the Cup Series moms and the moms give the command: “Sons and gentlemen, start your engines!”
