I may get banned from Free Republic for saying this, but the reason that Big Oil is evil [as opposed to, say, Big Wall Street, or Big Hollyweird, or Big Law Firms] is because there aren't any Jews in Big Oil.
 
If there were Jews in Big Oil, then we would have entire Sesame Street episodes [and maybe even entire seasons] devoted to the wonder and beauty and magnificence of petroleum.

There were/are.
They were colleagues of my father during his 40+ years in the
R&D arm of a "Big Oil" company.
My general impression was they probably some of the more conservative
members of their faith in the USA.
Probably because they worked on research that actually got things
done.
And weren't sitting around offices in academia and the guvmint.
