“Your entire reasoning is disgusting”
It’s not my reasoning. We don’t have the money to pay long-term. You can argue with that, and you can be disgusted with that, but it doesn’t make it any less a reality.
You should show a little less disdain for the folks who are paying the bill. While nobody argues that folks who served in combat sacrificed a lot (I’m not arguing that) you don’t seem to understand that taking American’s hard-earned money is no small sacrifice. Not that we’ve run out, you can’t just demand your benefits be paid and expect to be taken seriously.
So exactly where do you suggest a 78 year old man who is in poor health due to his service find a job to make enough money to pay for something he earned? why not raise soc security age? allow privatization of soc sec? make other cuts as I suggested in the previous post?
You have to understand the sacrifices they made so now the taxpayers may have to sacrifice too. We lived in Seattle, NJ, Alabama, Tenn and Virginia before I was 5 yrs old. It was not an easy life and NOW you think it was “undeserved”
Treatment of today’s military is disgusting. Our Navy Seals on trial for punching a terrorist. The former Sen Murtha calling our marines “cold blooded murderers” and Obama bailing out the undeserving but YOU prefer the military be CUT.
