I’m missing something here. What is new or special about the USG paying private operators to go handle biz with the baddies?
IS THIS NEW..?
Hey, his words are encouraging, sure, but....I don’t see what’s new here.
EXPLAIN...?
:)
Czar..read panthermom’s post...then reread it.
Memorize it...and absorb it.
Amen to that.
Well stated.
My question has nothing to do with any assumptions of mine regarding Blackwater; if anything, those assumptions lead me to believe that, yes, they would defend the Constitution rather than the poseur in the White House. But the belief will have to wait for the reality before we really know. For the record, I pay no attention whatever to anything said, written or otherwise flacked by the drive-by media.
I agree with your view of the Blackwater people. As far as I'm concerned they are heroes who should not have to put up with politically correct show trials. Of course, neither should Navy Seals. But that's the kind of world in which our warriors must operate today, which makes one wonder why more of them don't wash their hands of it entirely.
I get defensive with regard to contractors, they do get a very bad rap. Especially from those who say they only do it for the money, so therefore their loyalties can be bought.
When you break down what they do, how they live and where they work the money is NOT that good!

Pre WWII the US servicemen were discharged from our military, to become members of the Flying Tigers, in China.
The GOP strongly opposed entry into WWII, until Pearl Harbor, so Roosevelt did what he could to assist our allies.
