The only way to take back the country is to take back the courts. Everything else is window dressing.

If the usual suspects do not like this decision then it must be good.

"The court over the course of the last three decades has gotten out of control," he[Christie] said. "The only way to change the court is to change its members."

Thank God for Chris Christie!

It’s only outrageous and shocking when a Republican does it. Otherwise it would be “his duty as Governor”.

Sounds to me like he’s doing all the right things. Good for him.

Sad to say, I didn’t know these guys have to be re-appointed. I thought we were stuck with them til they retired. At least it always seemed that way.

I am thrilled. NJ’s courts are right there with California as amongst the most blatantly left-leaning.

I really like Christie. He is the opposite of what has been wrong with the Republicans. Usually once they get in, they try to get along with everyone. The Dems extend the hand of friendship in return while deftly starting to cut the Republican to pieces. I think Christie knows that they are out for his blood and is determined to face them on the issues. Since he is right on most of the issues, they really can’t beat him face to face. of course the ad hominems will continue unabated.

I like it because the inevitable Liberal Freak-Out is going to turn even more of the general public against them

This guy is unbelievable. It’s so refreshing to see a conservative actually do what a conservative should do and not become a “reach across the aisle” RINO.

No bias in the picture of Gov. Christie's appointee to replace Wallace, no sir...

"The court over the course of the last three decades has gotten out of control," he said. "The only way to change the court is to change its members."

Can't fault the logic in that. And he is within his authority as governor to replace a justice once their term is over.

He has no obligation to reappoint this guy. I fail to see the problem.

One day, on a different planet, the headline might read:

Many Applaud Christie’s Courageous Stance, Does Not Reappoint Activist Jurist.

And then the article would demonstrate how Wallace was an activist judge that used his position to further HIS political agenda instead of deciding law.

Maybe one day......

I think I like this guy. He just does what he needs to do, and doesn’t worry about what the Democrats/Media/etc., think about it.

I was very skeptical about Christie during the campaign, but I was apparently very wrong. This guy has guts and determination. New Jersey did something right.

This is the same corrupt New Jersey Court that rewrote the NJ Constitution to allow Lautenberg to take Bob “Torch” Torricelli’s place on the ballot for NJ Senate in 2002 even though NJ law was crystal clear that the RATS couldn’t replace a candidate so close to an election.

Nice job Christie. I love the liberal “outrage” when all he is doing is exercising his gubernatorial right to reappoint a justice. If they don’t like it, go amend the NJ Constitution.

Otherwise, go pound sand, RATS. As we unfortunately know here at FR, elections have consequences. You lost. Too bad.
