To: Scythian

On the one hand, yes, this is unprecedented. On the other hand, it’s not as if every other country in the world didn’t already know that we have thousands of nuclear warheads, enough to destroy the Earth several times over. That’s pretty much common knowledge unless you’ve been living on an asteroid the last 40 years. Once it gets to the point where you have over 5 THOUSAND nuclear weapons, a large majority of them in the megatons...well, it doesn’t really matter if our enemies know the exact number of weapons we have, does it? All that matters is their knowing that the U.S. can obliterate every country, everywhere on Earth — which everyone already knew anyway.

We DON’T HAVE 5000+ nukes. Your all forgetting to subtract the 4000 or so nukes that have already been retired and are just awaiting disassembly and nullification.
