Like I inferred
here, the pressure Obama is under to make his presidency noteworthy makes him the perfect candidate to throw out the status quo of the last two administrations contending with the Israel/Palestinian "problem" and not "kick this down the road."
I think he wants to be the one to "solve" this in the American experience so he will be operating outside the norms of what has been our relationship with Israel. This is written all over the way he has handled the Middle East thus far.
I see him demanding the extremes of Israel in exchange for tacitly endorsing any operations they initiate against Hezbollah and Iran in the near future.
Watch for it to trend this way the next few months. Watch for major events in the Middle East in the next few months.
