Obama tells Palestinians that Israel is to blame

US [Alleged] President Barack Obama made clear in a recent letter to the Palestinians that he views Israel as the obstacle to peace and will approach further peace efforts from that point of view, according to senior Palestinian Authority officials.

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat confirmed for the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency that such a letter was sent, and that in it Obama "clarified the US stance on the peace process and Israel's intransigence on the issue of settlements."

Erekat said that the letter contained several assurances to the Palestinians, but refused to go into detail.

A day earlier, London newspaper The Guardian reported on what one of those assurances may be - a proposal to start backing official UN condemnation of any and all Israeli "settlement activity."

Washington has traditionally used its veto power to block any UN resolutions that would put Israel in a difficult position vis-à-vis allowing Jews to build on their ancestral and biblical lands. If the US were to stop vetoing such resolutions, which would likely result in an increase in condemnation, Israel could be forced to implement an unofficial Jewish building freeze across the board and for an unlimited amount of time.

That report would seem to fit with the more vague account of assurances another Palestinian official said the letter contained.

PA secretary general Tayeb Abdel Rahim on Sunday told reporters that the letter made the usual commitments to an independent Palestinian state with territorial continuity. Rahim also said that Obama promised to start publicly assigning blame to those he sees holding up peace and to force Israel into indefinitely extending its temporary settlement freeze.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implemented the 10-month freeze at the behest of Washington in order to test the Palestinians' readiness to return to the negotiating table. When it was first announced last November, US officials praised Netanyahu for taking "unprecedented" steps for peace. Now that it is clear the Palestinians are not going to respond in kind, the Obama administration appears to be blaming Netanyahu for not having done enough.

Far too many probably don't care much about Judaism either.

What does this mean? Obama is promising that Gaza and the West Bank will no longer be divided with Israel in between?

- Israel has survived many wars of massive invasion by multiple Arab and Muslim countries against her since the United Nations (can you believe that today?!) authorized her rebirth as a nation in 1948 (1948 Arab-Israeli War, Six-Day War, Yom Kippur War, the First Lebanon War, the Second Lebanon War, and so many acts of terror, murder, kidnapping, and torture against men, women and children that they cannot be counted).

- Israel has taken land that was arid, desolate, deserted, useless, abused, and abandoned - and turned it into the garden spot of the entire Middle East; all in the span of one generation. From agriculture, to medicine, to commerce, Israel far surpasses her backwards and stagnant neighbors in almost every aspect of life and progress.

ISRAEL

MUSLIM COUNTRIES

- Israel is a constant reminder to her neighbors that the one true God, the God of Abraham, and God of all, still reigns supreme.

Pretty serious "crimes" there by the Israelis!

This article will bring post raising the issue of Jewish voters voting for RATS/supporting obama. But I heard yesterday a group discussing how “he needs more time....”

I just shake my head.

Should we support even those actions of Israel’s government that are against Israel’s own best interests, and which are also opposed by a majority of its own citizens?

And who do you suggest be the arbiter of those actions?

Salem's probably got a balanced take on it. Every American president has succumbed to the siren call of being the one who brought peace to the Middle-east and of trying to do it by pressuring Israel into unilateral compromises. The difference here is that we have a president who was raised in a blurry mix of Islam and "Rev." Wright's anti-Semetic, anti-America rantings.

Given that God is a fan of ironic punishments, one has to wonder what territory this country will be forced to cede, and to whom.

If we are going to make such determinations, I think we should have an intelligent, fair-minded arbiter who will carefully evaluate the situation.

My question was slightly different though. I was asking if we (the USA) should adopt a position that we are going to always support the actions and decisions of the Israeli government, or should we in fact examine those actions and decisions through a lens of our own choosing (such as: “Is this in the best interest of Israel.” Or perhaps “Is this in the best interests of the USA?”)

I don't think O is the anti-Christ, just a minion with power. He's not that smart but what he's doing IS anti-Christlike that obviously sides with the cult of peace little pieces;"I KILL YOU!"

He's certainly sh*tcanned our nation and since we're not mentioned in the Bible( possibly if one shreds the Hebrew and transliterations enough) I'd say he's the perfect candidate for taking us OUT of the world equation and ushering in the man who makes peace for 3.5 years then desecrates the new temple( not built yet of course). It's all hellfire and brimstone from there.

You are absolutely right. Every time Obama insults, threatens, harasses Isreal, he is poking God in the eye and when God pokes back, Obama will not even be a grease spot!!. He’s in the clutches of the Deceiver for sure. How did America ever do this to themselves? It’s astounding to me. I saw what Obama was even Before the election. CO

They abandoned our nation's foundational principles and decided it was "okay" to abandon our national trust in God, kill babies, and glorify homosexuals.

Absolutely correct. Obama is simply a tool of the Devil to bring in the One World Order by destroying America. He’s just a pawn but a destructive one. God will still look after all those who belong to HIM though, no matter what comes. CO
