They said “bad weather this weekend,” not “50 year flood event this weekend”. We just got our power back; it’s been off all day.

I’m in S.E. Tennessee between Knoxville and Chattanooga. We got a lot of rain and have several flash flood warnings out but we received nothing like Nashville did. Lucky for us we’re in hilly country and our house sits on higher ground. I can handle rain. It’s the wind I don’t like.

2.25 inches in the Chattanooga area, at least at my house. Significant, but hardly near the flood stage like Nashville. Lots of problems associated with the high water levels. Hope everyone is getting along OK.

The water should start dropping around Nashville now, but I don’t know how quick it will settle.

Millington was hit like this in ‘89, but not as bad. It is pretty tore up. Entire south side of the Navy base was/is under water.

We are in Raleigh, Scenic Hills, and sit on top of a hill, we only lost the Sat dish because of the rain and the phone lines for a couple of hrs. Millington and Midtown got the brunt of the flooding. Pumping station in Midtown went down. Big Creek Levy let go in Millington.

We’re up on the Clinch River just west of Knoxville. Have had violent rain, thunder and lightning the last couple of days, and we lost power several hours last night. The river is very high but not at a dangerous level. More rain predicted for today.
