A ‘Beslan’ on our soil sends chills up my spine. I’ve talked to a school board member about this possibility in our community.....and she was CLUELESS.

The other day older kids, went on to a play ground of elementary students and went at them with ball bats.

Over the past several years, school districts have ran "Emergency Drills" involving terrorist attacks. The scenarios have always centered around "Radical Fundamentalist Christian" groups. One drill (in New Jersey, if I'm not mistaken) involved a home-schooler organization hijacking a school bus.
What is more frightening is jihadist already profile the best targets. They preferr to attack junior high schools because the kids in general are old enough to control vs elementary school kids, but in general not big enough to resist like high schools students. Even more perverted, the junior high school female students are old enough to rape. Raping is not used for carnal purposes, but to humiliate your enemy. Jihadist envision raping the female students and executing students/teachers by tossing them while alive off the highest floor of the schools while the media is there to film their bodies smashing the pavement.
Silly thing, haven't you read the notices on the front door of every school that all visitors are supposed to report to the office?
We covered these incidents on FR - I forget the year - but within a year after Beslan, which was Sept 2004.
Anyone who has the courage can see the videos of that horrific week - just GOOGLE.(I can't look at those videos again - those poor, dear children.)
Myself, I was sickened by the reaction of Freepers to the tragedy in Russia - indeed, most of America. Few could seem to put their "Russia Vitriol" on the shelf even to express sympathy.
We were treated better by Russia after 9-11.
That said, I worry why these exercises now - so many years after the plans were found? Is it that there are renewed threats or is this an excuse to get law enforcement some training in preparation to 'control' the people recently named as 'terrorists' and a threat to our security - the Tea Party folk - the Americans that obymmer alluded - ad infinitum - to in his college speech today - the ones that he is opining will cause someone(s) to act violently? (What the content of his speech had to do with congratulating a graduating class and encouraging them in their road ahead, is a mystery. NOT. He used THEIR DAY as just another excuse to spew his agenda - which increasingl seems to be to set the Tea Party people up for something. Alarming. He has not one shread of recognition that, not only do most Americans disagree with his agenda but that they have a RIGHT to in, as he kept repeating, a "democracy." I wonder if he wasn't hoping to encourage someone to bring about that act of violence for him...
We may well soon see a terror act that will 'force' the gov't to crack down -
and we may never be sure who was really behind it...anymore than we are likely to ever learn just what brought the oil rig down.
