Sounds like a bust to me. This may mean more Hispanics support the Arizona law than one might think and they did not turn out.

Unless they've been radicalized by La Raza, LULAC or that ilk, I'd say that most legal Hispanics are somewhere between embarrassed for and furious at -- the illegals.

After all, in Texas, many Hispanic families have been here as long (if not longer) than whites -- they are the quintessence of "natural born citizens". Those who came here legally played by the rules and jumped through hoops to get in -- something the illegals piss on.

The idiot politicians who pander to "Hispanics" are actually insulting them.

Are you listening, John McCain...?

Similarly Calif. has a lot of hispanic origin people, some who go back even to pre US statehood, coming down to present generations.

I have a cousin like that. He’s very conservative, and legal immigration is a highly valued aspect within my extended family (Hispanics and Italians).

But we have many ignorant people in America, who will group all spanish surname people together. And say disrespectful things.

When I was a teenager, I met my future wife, child of Italian immigrants. Young and dumb, I joked about the mafia, but they didn’t laugh.

My future in-laws weren’t mafia, they were doctors, lawyers, teachers, nuns, purple heart WWII paratrooper vets. And within their family were legal immigrant parents.

I have a cousin by marriage, who’s spanish ancestors were in California over 200 years ago, before Mexico.

He is very unhappy with people who look at his spanish last name, and presume he’s associated with illegal wetback immigrants.

His dad was career Air Force.

Then explain to me why they always vote Democrat and they seem to support every candidate who preaches amnesty.
