Wow, I live here and this is unbelievable!!!
Watching Channel 2 in Nashville...they have Live streaming
I was in Nashville yesterday morning on business. Looks like I got out just in time!
Just dang! It didn’t look like THAT yesterday.
They are predicting twice as much rain for tomorrow.
se ok
I’m thinking about moving to TN. Any insight you can offer? What areas to stay clear of?
This is unprecedented, so no one can plan for something like this. Primarily do not buy a home near Mill Creek in Davidson County or the Harpeth River in Williamson County. There are plenty of hills and valleys around here, so you can find a house on a hill that will never flood. Just make sure you check if the property is in a flood plain before you buy anything.
Whoa! That is some water! On the good side, those gas prices at the Pilot are a good 30 cents lower than here in south California.
Now, a personal concern of mine. I live in MD and plan to vacation for 4 days in Nashville in mid-June (my first trip outside the eastern time zone since 1983 when I visited steprelatives in Canada's Maritimes). How badly hit are tourist attractions there? (Music Row, Fort Nashborough, the Hermitage, Murfreesboro battlefield, TN Central Railway Museum, Vandy U) From maps I see Opryland and Fort Nashborough are on the river.

I love the country music hall of fame. Put that one on your list. And the Ryman Auditorium.
Thanks. I forgot about those.

A lot of rain, but the landscape has a lot to do with it too, a lot of hills and dales in Nashville and surrounding area. Been looking at the pictures on wsmv.com just shaking my head, unbelievable
Anyone know if the freeways or secondary roads are still impassable? I’m in cincinnati right now and thinking about driving home to south nashville (near brentwood) later this afternoon. Anyone hear any prognosis on the local news.many thanks freepers!
Please stay where your at...my son just drove from Nashville to Murfreeboro via I-65 / 840...he said 65 was flooding (down to one lane and the storm is very slow moving...not looking good. Get a motel and enjoy a Slyline chili dinner!
...Skyline Chili...typing too fast (and wish I had some Skyline now)
Thanks we’ll try that! Stay safe and dry.

Stay safe and my prayers to everyone affected.
The Harpeth runs near my area but hasn’t caused any flooding. Lights keep flickering and the stream behind my house
Massive lighting now. Signing off. Again, stay safe everyone.
...the stream is now a raging river and rising.
That lightning scared me. Signing off now.
I don't know if you have a chance of getting federal aid. I heard Obama said no to some governor who asked for assistance.
Keeping you folks in my prayers. They say South Jersey should be getting T-storms later this evening.
