Flying the flag of the United States upside down, or at half mast, as an act of political protest, is NEVER JUSTIFIABLE, EVER!
The mere act of doing so, regardless of your stated reasons, places you in the same category as scum like Bill Ayers. My utter contempt for the walking disaster with delusions godhood that is Barak Obama will never driver me to insult the country by word or deed.
You are using the same tactics as the freakazoid left. I would take a good long hard look before you choose to get in the mud with the likes of them.
Oppose the Democrats, fight them at every turn, drive them from office. But, do not treat the flag, which is second only to the Constitution itself, as an item for petty political protest.

It does smack of what the Left would do. Just my opinion.
Do I think we are in peril as a nation? Yes, greater now than at any time since 1861.
But flying the flag upside down and at half mast seems to me to be a concession to the left, that they have somehow emerged victorious and that our flag that WE believe in cannot occupy the high ground because the exact same flag THEY fly occupies that ground.
I understand why people want to do it. But I cannot suffer this flag, that I served under, and my father was buried under, to submit in that way as a form of protest.
I will not insult those who do, but I will not do it myself.
