We can want it to be true. We can believe it to be true. But the reality that we gotta live with is that it just isn’t so.

But we do know it so that Obama is not a natural born citizen. And to where he was born has not been publicly determined. You can believe the lies and all the pap we hear from the left...Obama has not proven to where he was born.

The most productive course of action is to attack the man based on the choices he has made and continues to make. Not to raise issues that were not only entirely out of his control (circumstances of parentage) but also known for years before the election.

The most productive course of action is to take Obama to task in every issue that conservative oppose Obama to include the 'Birther' issue. I'd say more than half the nation does not believe Obama was born in the United States or are not certain where. It is a big issue whether you like it or not. Usurping the US Constitution will be part of the equation for the Dems to lose Congress this year, which could approach 100 seat loss for the Dems.

You believe BHO is not an NBC. That is fine.

But, those whose opinions and actions actually count (Congress, the USSC, Vice President Cheney, The GOP governor and GOP AG of Hawaii, etc...) do not seem to agree with you.

You do not think the standards of proof that BHO has met are sufficient. Again, that is fine.

But again, those whose opinions and actions that could have affected the issue do not seem to agree.

Is the ‘Birther’ issue a legitimate plan of attack? I personally do not think so. Other disagree with me. That is also fine. Perhaps I will turn out to have been wrong.

Regardless, I must try to select and advocate what I see to be more productive avenues of attack. Which, in my opinion, is to do what you suggest at the end of your post. Focus on their choices and action, not alleged circumstances of parentage.
