If you need a reason to raise a glass this weekend, here is a round up of PROMISING data from Democratic pollster Scott Rasmussen.

80% of youth voted for obama... this is good news 50/50.
LLS
Don’t discount the ACORN curve.
They can’t win if they don’t cheat.
“Abortion Dem 32% GOP 47%”
Now THAT is promising!
I hope you are not correct, but I do worry. This is cultural war, plain and simple. The other side has no problem exploiting divisive issues to split the electorate in their favor. We should be doing the same. We should be supporting the candidacy of extreme left third party candidates in heavily dem districts to split the vote. The left has done this to us over and over.
The ONLY reason this has the ratio it does is because most people associate the Goldman Sachs/Wall Street crap going on now with the Republicans not the Democrats, never mind that GS and most of Wall Street are MUCH bigger supporters of the 'rats - both financially and with direct injection of people into the Administration.
If the truth was out there, it would be a 5% lead for the GOP.
Hey, skeptical is good. We know the dems tried to steal GWB’s first election as president. We know Acorn has been busy registering the dead, felons and illegals. We know they will be pulling out all the stops in November.
That will not guarantee them success. What will guarantee them success is if conservatives and independents don’t coalesce around conservative or mostly conservative candidates. And that cuts both ways. I’m prepared to vote for almost any candidate who’se primary allegiance is to the Constitution of The United States of America and who is unabashedly pro-life.
Isn’t 50/50 on young a good thing ? Doesn’t that mean he’s lost essentially all of his margin of victory which wasn’t that much to begin with ?
Don not imagine for a minute that the collectivists will simply let the election go without a fight.
And do not underestimate the ability of the Republicans to mess it up.
Waaay too optimistic. I will settle for a net of + 25-30. The dems have a lot of dirty tricks to go.
The Ross Perot effect redux may well split the conservative vote in many Congressional races. Couple this with an anti-incumbent mind set (not pro GOP) among the voters, you may have 120 seats turn over in the House and Senate, but not all in favor of the Republicans. Another thing to consider is the economy. If there is any perceived (including smoke and mirrors)improvement in unemployment between now and November, fortune may not be too harsh on the rats.
I dont know what to say. Mass deportation, FEMA Prison Camps, Reeducation centers, what are the solutions.
Blame the educational system. Did these people sleep through history class? Socialism has a 100% failure rate as a means of governing/controlling a society. No, repeat, no socialistic based society has ever generated wealth, happiness, or real "progress" in spite of all the brainwashing.
These 18% are either sadly mis-informed or so egotistical they think they'd be the ones in control of the socialist society.
I wonder how the oil spill will figure in. And what abut the Nat. Inquirer’s horrid story that in 2004 , Obama cheated on his wife?? Oh well, if it were a Pub revelation, the person would be hanged in public.
Putting on my tin foil hat, while gazing into my crystal ball (under the influence of some very good craft beer) I seriously consider the possibility that Crist is being promised a nice payoff by the Dems after the election for doing this.
Of course they will probably screw him down the road; but then again Crist would consider that a win/win situation.
“Don not imagine for a minute that the collectivists will simply let the election go without a fight.
And do not underestimate the ability of the Republicans to mess it up.”
Yes. The Demonrats will probably pull every dirty and illegal trick imaginable in November. They even want to annex or make Puerto Rico a state so they’ll get millions more votes that way.
And now Obie is talking about limiting free speech again by restricting how much the Republicans can (legally) spend on campaigns. Same old garbage with maybe some new stunts.
As for the Republican party, it needs to be Palinized or Santorumized Ryaniized or something - it’s dysfunctional the way it is. Tea Party it!
Quite amazing numbers some of these:
32% Trust obastard on economic crisis.
Perhaps the sheeple are waking up or perhaps they just didn’t get all the freebies they thought they would get.
31% Economy getting better
47% Economy getting worse
69% We are in a recession
Sure doesn’t sound like things are getting better on the street does it? I believe a lot of this is because so many are downscaling their ambitions just to survive.
16% Hiring
25% Laying off
Sure sounds like continuing net reduction in jobs.
62% The country is on the wrong track
36% Say our best days are ahead of us
Gee, that hope thing is really working out isn’t it?
39% Say abortion is an important issue to them
37% Say the war in Iraq is an important issue to them
These two rank dead last in importance to those who have been polled. Why then do these always feature as the most important issues in political debate? Both are red herrings by the left that are raised to divert attention from the real issues and to put the right on the defensive. Stupid, stupid, stupid right...especially on being allowed to be drug through the mud on abortion.
58% Say renewable energy sources are a good idea for the future
This is disappointing but probably borne of ignorance. They still hope to enjoy their lifestyle for less. Won’t happen.
39% Say we are safer now than before 9/11
And all the deaths of our troops, the shattered lives and shattered bodies have accomplished what?
