Yeah, at the time ABC began its endless propaganda for the Obamination (only two years ago) the unemployment rate was 4.8%!

Bush's fault. Literally, but by their own doing.

It’s as easy as ABC, just start reporting the news instead of being propaganda tools for Obama, Pelosi, and Reid!

“We are now, as a work force, becoming much more flexible,” said Jon Banner, the executive producer of “World News.”

We now only need 100 people to walk over to the fax machine and get the Obama/Democrat talking points memo. We’re on the cutting edge. We’d like to assure our viewers that we won’t let this downsizing effect our biased news coverage one iota.

I have been telling people - cancel cable and sat TV. Stop feeding the beast

BINGO

800,000 and counting have dropped cable and satellite - me included.

I had mine shut of in Jan 2009. I get all the programs I watched free online...and most of them on MY schedule and without the long commercials.

so that monthly money is in MY pocket - I have not missed TV at all - well, I get PBS, and locals...so I watch Masterpiece Theatre occasionally and Antiques Roadshow when I remember...but I can also get those both online... Cable/Satellite is dying - and Thank you , G_d.

People do not realize that their $40 to 100 cable bill is divided up each month. ABC/Disney has about 10 channels and probably gets $4 a month. VIAcom/CBS/MTV/Nickelodian probably has 10 channels and gets the same $4. Same thing with CNN/TBS/Etc, GE/NBC/MSNBC/CNBC/Universal etc.

Fox is not the savior. You watch any tv via cable or sa tv and you are keep the libs in power and insuring your own serfdom and it is too damn serious now.

You know, it just doesn't take that many people to read White House press releases.

The good side. The White House is hiring folks to write those press releases. This is simply a transfer of apparatchiks to stimulus funded government jobs.

Seriously, potentially this is the market correcting the issue of imbalance in the media. To make the big bucks and get the viewers, all they need to do is get going on the real stories.

"...ABC News is employing nearly 400 fewer people."

Gee...I wonder why?

I like SGU and V and they are both on Hulu. I just hope they don’t cancel V to prop up Diane Sawyer

Oh my goodness!

With these draconian cutbacks how will ABC ever be able to continue the kind of crack investigative journalism America has become accustomed to? Without ABC’s relentless background investigations and hard-hitting questions, Americans might one day elect to the Presidency a man they know nearly nothing about; a “community organizer” from Chicago, for example, with virtually no history other than what he himself wrote (or had ghost-written) in a couple of lightweight “autobiographies”. Heck, America might not even be sure where this man was born!

Folks, without ABC’s crack investigative journalism this nation will be in real trouble.
