If Good Morning America or World News look any different in the coming weeks, it might be because ABC News is employing nearly 400 fewer people.
David Westin, president of ABC News, said this was a difficult time for everybody involved.
Brian Rooney, an ABC reporter in Los Angeles, was let go. Earlier this week, ABC News, a unit of the Walt Disney Company, largely completed one of the most drastic rounds of budget cutbacks at a television news operation in decades, affecting roughly a quarter of the staff. The cutbacks promise to change ABC both on- and off-camera.
For some employees, like the longtime Los Angeles correspondent Brian Rooney, Friday was their last day. Mr. Rooney said his contract expired at exactly the moment when they needed to shed an enormous amount from the payroll. In an e-mail message, he compared it to standing looking straight up when the bomb dropped.

What is AMAZING is that you can watch ABC News and STILL hear endless lies about what a blessing Obama and the democrats are for the magnificent economy, filled with unicorns and candy.
This complete deceit is being read off telepromptors by soulless professional paid liars in rooms where 1/4 of all their fellow employees were just fired in the Obama/Democrat Great Depression II.

What are they qualified to do? There’s already a surplus of people scraping road kill up from the streets. BUT WAIT...maybe they could volunteer to BE road kill, then other former ABC employees could scrape them up. Hey, a role for not just one but many ABC employees.
