A deputy (or even two) with Glocks aren't going to survive an encounter with even one drug runner armed with an AK type assault rifle. It's long past time to use the army (the National Guard, perhaps) to secure the border. The rules of engagement should authorize use of any deadly force that seems to be necessary to the soldiers at the scene.
The Nat’l Guard is more important for dealing with oil slicks.../s
Maybe they should ship in a few of those cops from Quincy, ILL, who”protected” the President from vicious-looking grandmas.
May be right. Mexico is no more dangerous that Iraq. That country seems to be like it was after the 1910 Revolution.
Don’t worry....
ONE NUKE SUITCASE CROSSING OUR BORDER.....
And it will be military on the border 24/7 with shoot to kill orders!
Let La Raza demonstrate THAT! This country is already in favor of clamping down....just wait.
I’m not sure why the AK-47 is considered to be magically better than the Glock at the distance normal in a traffic stop.My traffic stops were made with only a revolver but things have changed in over 20 years. That distance is usually a car length or less;and a pistol should be quicker to bring on target unless the perpetrator is part of an ambush. If the criminal has the full-auto version then I understand. The liberals and many conservatives are quite leery of arming the police with full-auto weapons given the usual level of firearms training.
Depending on the deputy and the guy with the AK I seen people do a lot of missing with rifles and a lot of hitting with pistols.
If the guy with the rifle can’t hit with it does it really matter what he has. Spray and pray just makes lots of noise.
That being said all things being equal I’ll go with the rifle armed person.
