The environmental impact of Al Gore is growing faster than his waistline. The warmist con game has been very lucrative for the king of carbon credits. He and Tipper have just added to their collection of energy-gobbling homes with a nearly 9 million dollar 5 bedroom, 9 bath Italian-style villa in the celebrity-studded coastal enclave of Montecito, California, home to Oprah Winfry and many other celebrities. Al certainly likes living large. The home comes complete with 6 fireplaces. How are Al and Tip going to use them without generating carbon dioxide?
Keeping the house functional while Al and family are on their private jet or in any of their other houses will eat up energy and resources.
Of course, as Ed Lasky notes, the Democrats are supposed to be for the little people. No doubt there are homeless people in Santa Barbara, next to Montecito, who really need shelter more than the Gores, who have other lavish residences. Let them eat carbon credits?
What about access to the beach? That’s a HUGE Dem and enviros issue in Cal..Is Gore’s beach private, so the “little people” can’t walk in front of his house..
Question..will Al Gore be as fat as Ted Kennedy in 20 years...?
Obama should tell Al , “You have enough material possessions, Al. We will take one or more homes back for people less fortunte(greedy)”
at some point, doesn’t he think he’s made enough money?
Don’t worry, someone from the Party will take over the house and say to old Al: There was enough room in this house for 13 families. (Dr. Zhivago)
I was lurking around yesterday to see what the DUmmies had to say about this, and I was amazed to find that even most of the liberals seem to have just about had it with the hypocrit.
CAP & TRADE SCAM, all the details Beck is uncovering..Algore up to his eyeballs in it all too as we knew.
That scene always gives me chills.
But wait....isn't he worried that the ocean will rise to catastrophic levels and submerge the coastline??!!
Maybe he's adding insurance fraud to his long list of credits
Why would it take him 20 years?
On the coast? Isn’t that going to disappear?
The smartest man in America either isn’t too smart, or he is one of the most immoral men in America. Can’t have it both ways.
Algore should move to sunny Northern New Mexico where we have had scattered snow showers today. He could take the heat off his little mind.
You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, Mr. Beale, and I won’t have it!! Is that clear?! You think you’ve merely stopped a business deal. That is not the case. The Arabs have taken billions of dollars out of this country, and now they must put it back! It is ebb and flow, tidal gravity! It is ecological balance!
You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no third worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multivariate, multinational dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds, and shekels.
It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic and subatomic and galactic structure of things today! And YOU have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and YOU WILL ATONE!
Am I getting through to you, Mr. Beale?
You get up on your little twenty-one inch screen and howl about America and democracy. There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM and ITT and AT&T and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today.
What do you think the Russians talk about in their councils of state — Karl Marx? They get out their linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions, and compute the price-cost probabilities of their transactions and investments, just like we do.
We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies, Mr. Beale. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the immutable bylaws of business. The world is a business, Mr. Beale. It has been since man crawled out of the slime. And our children will live, Mr. Beale, to see that perfect world in which there’s no war or famine, oppression or brutality — one vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit, in which all men will hold a share of stock, all necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused.

What the h*!! does a 5 bedroom home need with NINE baths? The number of bedrooms plus 1/2 is the rational limit on the number of bathrooms.
If the house if big enough - and I imagine it is (afterall, only the best is good enough for Al and Tipper), you “need” 9 bathrooms so that you don't have to walk too far to find one. Also, I imagine that at least one bathroom is allotted to the servants’ quarters.
Either that or Algore is so full of crap that he needs at least 9 bathrooms.
